Hey ladies, I'm just wondering how long you waited at social security. I want to make an appt. to go to DMV but I want to make sure I time it right. Also, did you girls hit up both SS and DMV on the same day? How did it go?

At the SS office you go in and get a number and immediately get in line. I went in the middle of the day on a Wednesday so I didn't wait that long (maybe 20 minutes max). Then I went to the DMV (with no appointment) and waited about 30 minutes there. Just remember when you go to the DMV to bring cash or your check card because they charge you like $22 (or something close to that) and they don't accept credit cards.

Oh, and remember to bring a pen with you so you can fill out the forms while you're waiting in line. I forgot mine and had to keep borrowing from random people.

I did it on separate days.  At SS I waited about 30 minutes after I got a number.  DMV took a lot longer maybe 1.5 hours, and I made an appt for that.  I recommend an appt at the DMV!

I had to go to SSN to change my name (non wedding related) and it only took about 10 min, I went during my lunch break. For the DMV I made an appt online, and when ever I have done that before the max I have to wait is 20 min.
