Time to vent ladies... -Is it me but I think the boards are just getting slower and slower by the day. I hope it picks up again, because I'm so bored at work hehehe -The Spanish invites have become more than I thought they would be, my mom doesn't want to help me at all! She says just do whatever you want, and I wish I could get some type of guidance! ARRRGH! FI says well I don't speak Spanish can't help you! That's it for me ladies!

Oh I'm so sorry to hear that, I hate when my mom tells me that too! uuuughh! and Fi does the same thing sometimes...I guess we only have our knotties to give us the input that we need. =)As for me? Well I couldn't sleep last night. I had a really tough day yesterday because I had to talk to an uncle of why he wasnt invited!! imagine that!!! I'm so sorry for him but my cousins/bridesmaids come first...its a family issue girls...loooong story. But I do feel really bad and I just could not sleep at all, I kept waking up every half hour....11:30...12...12:30...1am etc...=( I hope times get better and he understands.

WTF: Are the days just eating eachother out? We are down to 38 days, and I feel like I still have 100!! - Oh yes ladies, you have either been there, are going through it, or will be pretty soon : R.S.V.P's. For the love of this, Why Can't people send in their response? Not only did you get a Save the Date 6 months back, but you have had over a month to respond a pre-stamped envelope!! WTF?? - Why is it so hard to find a spanish mother-son song for Fi to dance to?? We have been at it for the past 3 days, no luck, Any Sugg ladies?? - Why is MIL still asking for more invites, if we still can't even get answers from the 1st set that went out?? - Why can't Fi just go through the last e-mail I sent him of all the things that need to be done in the next 2 weeks instead of asking me?? - And I if I go on.. I will explode Thank you.

Melistar: I googled "cancion boda madre hijo" and saw this one was suggested: EL PRIVILEGIO DE AMAR The lyrics are really sweet. I can translate for you. I just hope there's a nice sounding version of it. The one I found on the YouTube was kind of lame. Also, it was written from a father to a son, so it's a little iffy. I can keep looking, though. a couple of the stanzas translated: "I don't pretend to teach you What the world is about That fails me too. Melistar - in case ya couldn't tell...I speak fluent spanish. I can help with your translation needs! My WTF: Pulled my back out today. I need to do the seating for my big work shindig and had to spend the morning laying down, walking my boss through an export because I couldn't even sit up to type. All better now, but this is not the time for me to be missing work! I dont have any wedding WTFs though. That all seems to be running smoothly....for now.

Just recently, my moms aunt, told my aunt that she was not happy I only invited her daughter and her husband, but not her 3 kids... Hello, lady:: I dont even know YOU, and only invited you cause my mom asked me too. I swear, I couldnt sleep that night just thinking how many other people might be talking/ thinking that way. So sad.. I guess you dont know until you are the one planning a wedding.

it didn't take long... So I go on my lunch break and call FI to tell him that the florist recheduled for a later time today or another day. She is a friend of ours so this isn't a big deal. Anyway, I had plans to go walking with 2 of my co-workers (who are also friends, one is a BM) right after work. I'm not trying to lose a lot of weight just get in shape. It's been years since I've exercised on a regular basis. So I was goin to hurry up and do my walk and then meet up with FI and florist by 630.  Well since plans changed I asked FI to come meet us after work and walk with us. He says "No, that's your thing." wtf? anyone can exercise. He's mad because I started going without him. Only because  he gets out of work at 6 and I get out at 5 and it's starting to get dark eariler. Plus he's not very motivated and he doesn't motivate me. Bleh...THEN, I told him "What's wrong?" he says "I'm F*&^%@$ tired!!" Grrrrrr, he did apologize but that was still uncalled for and I'm still pissed.

My WTF: I need to book a dj and I emailed Cal Sounds and still no response!!!! 5 days!! Are they bad with e-mail or something? I guess I'll need to look for someone else... any suggestions?

LNC - maybe call them? They responded to me. Your email could have gotten lost in their junk box or something.I wish FSIL would respond about whether or not she wants our concert tickets. We have to go to an oot wedding on a night we already have tix for (Friday!). If she doesn't want them, I want to sell them!Anyone want to see Heart and the Bangles at the Greek Theater on Friday?!

LNC- I would email again or call, Tom at Cal Sounds emailed me back the same day. He also emailed back several other times as we were booking, always same day. Maybe your email got lost, or his reply did? Or they are on vacation or something? But that is definitely not normal!

I don't think I had any big WTF moments.  But I think I have an idea as to how to handle those invitations that you wanted to write in spanish, xxquemirasxx. It's been a long time since I have had to conjugate ar, ir, er and verbs and all the tenses so I can't help you there. Your parents are not helping you because they probably deep down would have liked you to know how to write it yourself(its a stupid guilt trip parent thing).  My parents do it to me too: they get all hot and bothered when I write in Romanian and they tell me I do it in juvenile fashion, but at the same time when a business letter or grevience letter needs to be written in a persuasive, forceful and intimidating English--guess who does it for themCall the local community college and see if you can talk meet one of their spanish teachers. It won't be a big deal, just tell them you're getting married and you want to be able to get the proper wording, that your heritage is spanish and it would mean alot to you if they could help you.  They won't have the same approach as your parents simply because they have to remain professional.Good teachers would turn this kind of thing into a class project.I hope that helps.
