DJ Backed out 10 days before our wedding! (vent)

I just need to vent before I go crazy on some poor unsuspecting victim. Our DJ just backed out 10 days before our wedding!! What kind of "professional" does that!?!

I am so angry words can't even begin to explain. Whatever anyone does don't use 310HD also goes by MIK310 (Mike Matzke) as a DJ for ANY events. As if the last 10 days aren't stressful enough we're back to the drawing board for a new (and REASONABLE) DJ. *sigh*

Awe, so sorry to hear about that!  I can't imagine something like that happening.  I hope you can find a replacement. 

I don't remember who, but someone has a brother or cousin on here that was DJing.  Also, I know using an iPod and speakers or venue soundsystem is another popular thing now.

That sucks! I know you need to find a new dj (and I have a few recommendations), but if you're still just in the mood to be mad, you should go to Yelp to write another review.

We went with a friend (Morris- www.djmoe@ymail.com) who was pretty good. He really got our guests on the dance floor.
But if we handn't gone with him, I think we would've used Mr DJ - www.heymisterdj.com . Our venue recommended them. They were also at the group tasting (where some of their vendors were also on hand.) Lee was really great--personable without being overwhelming (or feeling like it was a bad audition).

Thanks ladies! We found an amazing DJ who a friend referred us to and is giving us a pretty good deal considering he's working 9 hours. JD from Shall We Dance Entertainment http://www.swdentertainment.com/

His personality and professionalism is amazing so it's completely worth the unexpected expense! Phew! One less thing to stress about. Now just to make it 7 more days!!
