Bridesmaid Dresses

Hey LA Brides!

Stressing out a bit here, looking for bridemaid dresses. I just want a simple on shoulder or even halter dress that is floor length in either charcoal grey or eggplant. I have girls of different sizes and figured the most flatter is the one shoulder or halter.

One problem I'm running into is their budgets. I don't think they're looking to spend $200-$350 even $400 on a dress. I would like to help them out, but I can't. The best way I can help is to find a dress that doesn't cost that much in the first place!

Do any of you have any recommendations on places to get dresses for less, but still decent quality?

Please help!

Thanks =)

    What is their exact budget?  I went to Alfred Angelo and found my dresses for about $170. I've been in a few weddings that used Davids Bridal and I think I spent under $200 on each of them.

    Also if you find a design you like maybe contact pearl's place they are an online retailer and you can usually get remakes of dresses for way cheaper. GL!

    I'm in a similar situation and found a good deal at David's Bridal.  They actually are really helpful.  If you find a dress you like on thier sales racks they'll do their best to find it at other stores in your bridesmaids area.  Before going to DB I went to the outlets out in Cabazon.  Good Luck!

    I had my girls try on Dessy dresses at bridal stores then I had them order through Jay's Bridal.  The price was definitely less than what was in the salons and Jay's is a reputable dealer (I also purchased my Casablanca wedding gown through them).  Check them out.  They carry a lot of designers for less than the stores.

    www.unique-vintage.com is where my dresses came from.  They have a store in Burbank, and also gave a discount since I was buying 4 of the same dress.

    i went to pebbles in woodland hils.  almost all of their bridesmaid dresses were under $200.  try the brand "belsoie", they had lots of one shoulders to choose from.

    Hey girls!

    Thanks SO much for all your input. I considered almost all..then I decided to do what happened to be most convenient for me and the girls - got the dress on SALE with Alfred Angelo for less than $150! SO I am a happy bride to be :) But we didn't get one shoulder....we got halter which was my FIRST pick anyway.

    Thanks again and again!

    I dug thru downtown- mostly maple street and santee street (not alley)- where everything is negotiable.  my dresses were $69 and then i negotiated if i bought them all at once they'd charge $200 for all ($50/piece).  they are beautiful!  good luck!
