dance lessons

Did anyone take dance lessons?  My dad asked me if I was interested b/c he is very nervous and I thought it was cute that he asked and thought it would be fun for him and I to go.  I called Fred Astair in Northfield.  They recommended 5 40 minute lessons for $250.  That just seemed pricey.   Anyone go anywhere else or know of anywhere?

    My best friend, her FI and Parents took lessons at a local community center. Look into that.

    We took group lessons thru the Brook Park rec. dept and it was not expensive at all. The instructors were from American Ballroom Centre on Ridge Rd. so they were very experienced. it was a blast!

    I know that Middleburg Hts. also offers classes and you don't have to be a city resident to take them.

    I'm in Columbus-  but we took advantage of beginner's specials.   We went to four different places, each for a lesson or two, for about $15/lesson.    We then went with an independent dance place (i.e. not a chain)... and are still happy with our decision.   That price for private lessons isn't that bad from what I've seen.
