Bird cage veil: advise?

Hi girls!

Ever since we started planning the wedding, I have wanted a bird cage veil.  I hate the idea of a veil (something on my head/face will drive me crazy), and I think they are not attractive.

When I started seeing the birdcage, I knew that is what I wanted.  In fact, we picked our Hollywood glamour theme on it!

But I bounght my dress.  I had the "its the one" moment.  But I don;t think it goes with the birdcage veil.  My mom, who hated the birdcage from the beginning, is thrilled.  My fiance is a bit mad, because our entier wedding is about this veil!

What should I do?  The dress is modern meets vintage, a princess gown.  Should I do a birdcage any way, or scrap it?

***I'm not going to be any help****

Man that sounds like a tough one! I'm the same way! I LOVE the birdcage veil idea in fact I decided I wanted one as well without even picking my dress. To this day I still have NOT picked a dress, which I'm bad for not doing and well my concerns are the same as yours, "what if the bird cage doesn't look great with the dress I pickUndecided

I'm a visual person, so to be honest I think a picture of you in your dress and the birdcage would help ME decide.

Sorry again! Wish I could guide you some more :(

I have a pic from the david's bridal website, but it doesn't look any thing like it.  I will try to post it later today so everyone can see!

Girl go with the birdcage veil!!! It'll match your gown, ESPECIALLY if your theme centers around it in the first place. You can still make it look really formal. I'm also wearing a birdcage veil (which I'm making myself) and my dress wouldn't necessarily go with one in the first place.

I think you'll be happier if you do it that way, the way you've been planning, otherwise you'll second guess yourself.

I LOVE bird cage veils and wore one for my ceremony (pics in bio).  I think after we see a picture of your dress that will help.
