Temescal Gateway Park

Hey All-

I've been trying to get ahold of the events contact at Temescal Gateway Park, but I get voicemail every time and they haven't returned my calls.

Has anyone looked into this venue or gotten married there, who has a contact number other than what's on this site?

Also, if you did have your wedding here or look into getting married here, what are your thoughts? What's the average cost? Did you find a better afforable outdoor venue?

Thanks in advance :)

I don't know anyone that's gotten married there but I want to caution you if you can't get a hold of them when you want to give them money how's it going to be once you've given it to them.  Just a thought.

I agree. I am not sure if I would feel comfortable. BUT I know how it feels to love a venue. I would check them out on yelp and see what people say about them. Also maybe select a back up just in case!!

I just did a quick yelp search and it seems all the reviews on the first page are for the hiking. Go through them and see if anyone says anything about weddings!
    That might help!

I got married there!  June 11th 2011.  The fee for us was $3500 with a $1000 refundable deposit included in that cost.  We absolutely loved it.  The contact there is Joyce Whitehead.  She is a very busy woman but wonderful.  We went down there to scope it out and met her on the premises.  She can be hard to get a hold of by phone but try to get her email.  We hired a wedding planner so we didn't really have to ask Joyce much after we got everything nailed down.

We used Stewart Hall and Sycamore Canyon.  It couldn't have been more beautiful.

I had looked into getting married there but instead chose Grace E Simons Lodge in Elysian Park for my wedding next July.  The lodge is cheaper (if you look online it has the prices-around $1500-$2000) than Temescal and the locations are pretty similar. If you are interested in Temescal I would recommend checking out Grace E Simons Lodge as well. Good luck! Let us know what you decide!!

I should add that the $3500 fee for Temescal was for TWELVE hours of use for both the ceremony and reception areas, two luxury cabins to get ready in as well, and parking for everybody at the wedding.

There also was no fee for having our rehearsal there the afternoon before.
