San Pedro: Simon's Banquet Center

Hello Los Angeles Brides and Grooms,

I am trying to figure out an affordable location that will work to host a wedding of about 130 people. I am not a bride that needs 10 stars, but rather am more focused on it being affordable, having fun, a pretty view and easy planning. Then moving on with my life, my wedding isn't everything to me, so I just need an affordable place to get it done easily.

I have a colleague that was married at Simon's Banquet Center, and I wasn't able to go to her wedding because it was the day before X-mas. I have another couple friend who married there a couple years ago, and I was able to attend, but I wasn't in the bride state of mind so i don't know too much about the event overall.

Does anyone know anything about this venue, for some reason the website is not loading. I have been able to read some reviews through yelp.

I am looking to have the ceremony and reception in the same location.
Thank you for any advice you can offer!,
Sarah

How long ago did you go to the wedding there? I went last year and it was a bit dirty. Other than that I think their prices are affortable and I've heard their food is ok.

The wedding I went to was about 2.5 years ago, I guess. In November. What was dirty about it? I am not going for fancy or elegant, but definately don't want it "dirty".

Look here http://fiestahallwhittier.com/ they provide everything for you except the table covers I think but they can refer you to a person who rents them.  They have a place to have the ceremony as well :)

Sorry I didnt explain myself too well. What was dirty about this place was the exterior. Trash everywhere and dirty floors surround this place, that's the only thing I remember about this location, I guess its a negative thing. But who knows, it might be different now. I went last summer.

I'm getting married there in August.  I like the fact that a lot is included in the price, they work with you, and everything is right there.  I, too, was looking for something affordable and fun.  I feel that I found it with Simon's...just my opinion.  Hope this helps!
