Tanning...

I know, I know...tanning is so bad for your skin!

I have a dilemma though, I have this HUGE farmers tan and boudoir pics are coming up in a month to be exact and I really don't want my farmers tan to showEmbarassed

Should I go to a tanning booth to even it out? I've seen those creams at Target? Neutrogena etc...

I'm really confused what should I do. I'm not a light skinned person but this tan is totally noticeable!

TIA!

I would check into getting someone to spray tan you.  Not the spray tan booths but someone that actually sprays you.  Better for your skin (no risk of burning or peeling) and they can easily cover the farmers tan without making you super dark.

i had the same problem! what i did was use the tinted moisturizer that gradually tans your skin. i didn't even buy the name brand, i got the target brand. i used a make-up sponge so that my hands didn't tan and put it only on the area that needed color. i used it every other night after a shower and it evened everything out in about a month. it takes like 30 min to dry so make sure you're wearing a tube top that you don't mind staining or go topless ;), because it will stain your clothes. i had my b pics done in the winter so i didn't have the opportunity for natural tanning. i also didn't have the $$ to have it done professionally. hth!

Well I think we all know I really don’t have this problem LOL Winkbut in the stuff Ashleigh sent me yesterday she said:In general don't do anything new, try new food, try new beauty products or procedures 48-72 hours before a shoot!

So I would try the spray tan stuff now since you have a month and see what the results are

You can use a self-tanner lotion. There are two kinds: the gradual stuff okami.mami mentioned and the more overnight stuff. Both can be purchased at Target. I like the Neutrogena brand for the stronger stuff and Jergens for gradual.

You can also go to a tanning salon and get a spray tan. Those last for about 3 days. They can also rub off quicker if you sweat a lot or use a loofa in the shower.

You need to exfoliate for both!!!

I would look into getting a spray tan. Try getting one now as a test run to see if you like it. Make sure when you go in you consult with them to see what color will compliment your skin tone and NOT give you the orange glow.

Maybe I'm the odd one out but I say - get into a tanning bed. The last thing you want to do is look orange, and no offense to anyone who has done the sprays/lotions but I have NEVER seen a good one. I can always tell if someone has done a spray/lotion, it just does not look natural. A month in a tanning bed is not going to kill you, seriously there are worse things you can do. I tanned for the 6 months leading up to my wedding and my skin was the perfect color I wanted it to be. Just go every other day and you will look great. Being tan also makes you look skinnier - which is a total plus especially if you are taking B-pics.
