Average Wedding Hair Cost?

Hi all!

We're getting married in Camarillo, and so I've been looking for a stylist there to do my hair and my bridesmaids' hair the morning of the wedding. I found an awesome salon (great reviews, very friendly, awesome ambience, mimosas...), and they quoted me $55 for each updo. I will do a trial run, which is an additional $55. 

Is this average/fair? I love the salon, and the stylist I spoke to was really responsive to what I was looking for. I just don't want to be overpaying! I'm from a small town in Colorado, so my price comparison is a little out of whack...

    The price sounds great! I live in Camarillo. What salon is this? I'm looking for a salon closer to where I live.

    Oh, great! Good to know.

    The salon is called Moxie. Their website is currently under construction, but they're on Ventura, at 2068. If you're on Facebook, look for Moxie Hair & Design Studio -- they have a FB page with lots of great photos and info about the salon.

    I'm getting married in Camarillo as well. I didn't find anyone out there to do my hair that was willing to travel, so I hired someone from Glendora that is traveling to my hotel room to do my hair and my bridesmaid hair.  I believe its $75-80 for each girls hair, a lil bit steeper but worth it since she's coming to us and I loved her work.The same for the makeup artist, she's traveling to me and she's wonderful. 


    The price you were quoted is pretty good, I dont think you're over paying at all.Smile

    I'm also getting married in Camarillo :) What place are you girls getting married at? I'm going to be at the Sterling Hills Golf Club. I found a great stylist (I actually have been going to him for a couple years now) in Thousand Oaks at The Oaks Mall. I'm seeing him later this week to get my highlights done again so I'm going to ask him how much the updo's and styles for my bridesmaids will be. I can let you guys know if you're interested :)
