Invitation frustration =/

Okay.  I don't know what it is about invitations but I just can't seem to find any that i love for FI and I.  There are sooo many cute ones out there and soo many i would really like if.....we were having a formal wedding or if we were going with damask or if our colors weren't eggplant, grey and white..or if.....etc.  it seems the ones i really, really like are out of our budget or they wont make in our colors.  We can't afford to hire a graphic designer create this cool logo and stuff.  I've already looked into a few and some are like over $700.  We still have plenty of paper goods to think about aside from invitations.  I'd love to have a logo that we can incorporate throughout the whole wedding.  I would love to just find the logo and DIY the rest.  I'm just getting sooo frustrated.  The theme for the wedding is vintage classic with a modern flare, and I just can't seem to find anything I love. =[

We purchased our invitations from http://www.weddingpaperdivas.com/ and they were about $300 for 100 (or something close to that).  They looked very nice and the turnaround was about a week from the date I ordered them.

I know what you mean Candee, we aren't having a "traditional wedding" and it was really hard to find something that suited us. I don't know if you have messaged Christina Molina. She is our DOC but as well created our invites. We showed her multiple invites and we sorta combined a little bit from this one, and little from that and we all put our thinking caps on and BAM she did it! I wanted pocket folds so that's what she will be doing for us.

I'm not sure what your budget is, how many invites you need, of course that all comes to play here. But I would give her a buzz she is really nice and if you explain your budget to her I'm SURE she will be able to help. It doesn't hurt to ask

I  second XXquemirasxx  I just ended up booking Christina for our invitations. I gave her some ideas and she will be coming up with the design for us. She is pretty reasonable and pricing is based on what design you want. She is also really and I MEAN REALLY GOOD at replying back. She usually emails me back in less than an hr. Crazy! Try Etsy if you haven't looked.  If you want, they can even design an invite for you, send the pdf, and you can print them yourselves to save a ton of cash.

Have you considered designing them on your own?  That's what I did, and I got exactly what I wanted!

Try looking up vintageglam's bio, along btansley.  I loved btansleys!
