Wedding planning now and moving to Long Beach, NEED HELP!!!!

Hello,

So on extreme stress load with planning a wedding and now i was offered a job in Long Beach. Where I am living in Ohio right now.

I was wondering if anyone could help me/advice to where to live in Long Beach. I need to be close to the Veteran's Hospital because I will be taking the bus back and forth to work. Also, I am not a student nor party with the college students at Cal State Unv. at Long Beach. We want a secure and safe apartment around 1500 a month. Please help. Thanks so much!

I recommend looking in the Cal State Long Beach area because it's close to the VA Hospital and there are plenty of buses that go through the area.  There is actually a pretty big apartment area behind the Vons on Ximeno, I just don't know how much the rent is, but it might be a good start.  I live south of the traffic circle near those apartments and I feel pretty safe in the area.  Welcome to Long Beach!

The Belmont Shore area is really quite beautiful and right near the beach, but I'm not sure about the availability of public transportation.

Belmont Shore is great area.  There is actually a pretty cute neighborhood with houses and apartment buildings right by the VA hospital.  I lived there because I could walk to school, but it really wasn't "party central" or anything like that.  I don't remember noise ever being a problem, and I was pretty studious, never went out etc.

I really liked the 4th Street area as well.  It's kind of funky and artsy.  Not sure what you're looking for, but if I had to do it over, I would have lived in that area.   The neighborhoods by the school/VA hospital are pretty boring and suburban.
