DIY Real Flowers

Are you doing or did you do your own flowers?  If so, what whole sale vendor did you use and what kinds of flowers did you use?

We did our own flowers for our 6/20/09 wedding and they came our fabulous!  I think I have a back up career! haha.. I tried to upload some pics to my album- but not sure if it worked... if you can't see send me your email and I'll send you a couple pics.  We ordered them from theflowerexchange.com.  They seemed to have the best selection for the price (and I think alot of them go through the same warehouse or something b/c I had tried ordering another type from a different website and it was the same customer service person!)  We used manzanita branches from save-on-crafts.com; vases from pat catans. Flowers were green and white hydrangeas, bells of ireland, jade roses, white spider mums, spray roses and greens (some extra greens from my parents garden! haha).  I did spend more than I had originally planned b/c I was nervous and ordered more like a couple days before!  But they were way better than I would have got from a florist for what I spent... and the guest got to take them home at the end of the night.  It was quite alot of work- mostly just preparing the flowers so make sure you have lots of help (we made between 20-30 arrangements... and 6 bouquets).. the actual arranging was really quick.  Any other questions just let me know.
