Was the 80% rule true for you?

Married ladies: Just curious if the 80% rule was true for your guest list? Wondering if I can expect 20% of my guest to RSVP no. (I know not to take anything to the bank.) However, I am really hoping the 20% is the people we didn't really want to invite in the first place :)

    I think we were at 76%. We gave everyone the option to bring a guest, though, and a lot of the singles flew solo, which helped the numbers. Had we not giving the singles that option, our return rate would've been more like 80-85%. Since budget/space don't seem to be crucial issues for you, maybe plan on 85-90% attending and then be pleasantly surprised when less do?

    My wedding is August 1st, be we currently have all the RSVPs in. We have about the same percentage as Tara and I think it's for the same reason (guests were invited but some people aren't bringing one)
