Inexpensive ceremony location?

Im spending the majority of my budget on the reception and alot of the odds and ends, i just cant justify spending a big portion of my budget for the ceremony when it will only last 15-20 minutes... Im looking for something that costs next to nothing, im not locked in on my reception venue but i am considering one in whittier so something within 5 miles of there would be great. Any ideas ladies?

Is it possible to do the wedding where the reception will be (either in the same room or in another space there)?

Usually, people with short ceremonies do them in locations where everything can be in one place, whether it's a venue that specializes in weddings, an outdoor venue which also allows receptions to be catered there, or a hotel.

We were originally going to do just a banquet, and get married at city hall. Then we decided to have a short public ceremony but just at the beginning of the banquet. However, things kind of spiraled out of control when we ended up doing it at a hotel instead of a restaurant, and now we're having a separate ceremony.
