Hey ladies,

Anybody planning or had their wedding at Walnut Grove? If so, did you love it,also, do you have any tips?

It's actually on my list of venues to visit.  My FMILs friends son just got married there and she said it was gorgeous!  The only thing I don't like about that place is they don't allow outside catering and we are pretty dead set on having Reds BBQ cater.  Finding a place that will allow outside catering has been a pain in the rear!

I had this one on my list as well but they dont do weddings on friday so we couldnt even look at it. :-(

I just visited Walnut Grove and Michelle was very nice to talk to. There was a wedding taking place that day, so we saw it early in the AM with a lot of the set up already there, which was very cool for us to see. It's a beautiful place, to be sure, and I've seen great weddings from there posed on www.stylemepretty.com (just search "walnut grove and you'll see the photos). This venue books up FAST though. They do have weddings on Fridays and on Sundays actually. Saturday is more expensive (as it will be anywhere). My one concern was that, in terms of taking photos there, all of the scenery seemed pretty  much the same. There weren't a lot of different options for photos. Nevertheless, I recommend you check it out if you want a more affordable "barn/ ranch" ish wedding. Hope this helped.

We ended up booking Walnut Grove. Also they do have weddings on Fridays, we are actually doing ours on a Friday because when we went in Sept, we fell in love with the location, but all Saturdays at the time were on hold or totally booked for 2012
