Venue Search Over the Weekend

So I went to visit 6 venues this weekend.

I feel so much at ease going into these places now because I am not so stressed.

My goal is to make a list of like the Top 5 or something and then have FI go with me to check these places out. Right now, I am doing the dirty work.

Since my great uncle said he would do the catering, there is a slight catch now...I have to find a venue that ALLOWS outside catering...

So, I will approach things differently.

I still may want to see some that you must use their caterer but at the same time, my focus is on finding a venue that allows that.

As of now, there are about 3 on my list that I am leaning towards that I know allow outside caterers.

We just signed our venue contract... it's a big relief to get out of the way. It looks like you have a very healthy approach to the process, and you may surprise yourself on what you like and dislike, what aspects are more or less important to you. The great news is that there a ton of places in SoCal to get married, so you have a wide pick to choose from.

Also, many places will allow an outside caterer, but you may have to pay a bit per head to do so. This might be fine, since your uncle is probably giving you a great deal.
