Meeting w/ Florist

So I have a meeting with a florist this weekend...

I need your help ladies...

Aside from centerpieces, bouquets and cake table flowers, where else do I need florals?

Also, what kind of questions do you ask the florist?

Are you going to need flowers for your cocktail hour, buffet table (if you're having one), maybe a small arrangement for the bar, and anything you might need for the ceremony (petals, flowers for the aisle chairs, etc.)?

I shall share MY list so maybe you can get an idea...every wedding is different....so here you go :

 

PERSONAL ITEMS

-Bride Bouquet 

-Flower for hair 

-Grooms Boutinniere 

-Best Person Bouquet or BM 

-Mother (2) 

-Father (2) 

-Brother Boutonniere 

- Flower girl small pomanders (2) 

-Flower girl halos (2) 

CEREMONY

-8 medium pomander balls for down the aisle 

-8 shepard hooks stands (renting) 

-white long stem rose

-Gazebo

LOTS OF PETALS!

RECEPTION

-4 tall (3feet) Manzanitas trees 

-4 low centerpieces 

1. LOTS AND LOTS of petals burgundy...

1. place card table
2. candy buffet table
3. cake table
4. around centerpieces
5. sweetheart table

Also what I did I created a list (as you can see) printed 3 copies ( I take one hm, he kept on and the other was for the heck of it as an extra) went to the florist said here this is what I want and the amounts which was all stated (which let me tell you he was blown and grateful and less confusing) and he would write the price for each item which made it soooooo much easier when I went home and compared florist who offered what and for how much. It wasn't a guessing game and it's help ALOT when referring back to him with certain thins if I wanted to elimate and item or add.

I agree with xquemirasxx, I too had a list for me and one for them.  I also took in pictures with me that Ilike so they kind of knew what direction I was going in.  Here is what I have:

What is needed:
·         Bridal bouquet
·         Bridal throw away bouquet
·         Maid of Honor bouquet (2)
·         Bridesmaid bouquet (2)
·         Attendants corsage (2)
·         Mother of the bride corsage
·         Grandmother of the bride corsage (possibly 2)
·         Aunt of the groom corsage (2) 
·         Groom boutonniere
·         Groomsman boutonniere (5)
·         Ushers boutonniere (2)
·         Father of the bride boutonniere (1)
·         Grandfather of the bride boutonniere (maybe 1) 
·         Flower Girl petals
·         Petals for the cake table/guest book table/gift box table

 CEREMONY
·         Gazebo
·         Swags on isles 

RECEPTION
·         15 tables (tall and low)
·         1 sweetheart table (with swags)

What type of flowers do you recommend for my wedding?
Are these flowers in seasoned at the time of my wedding?
How many days before my wedding will you buy the flowers?
What happens if the flowers are dead or don’t look like we discussed – what is your remedy? 
What time do you deliver flowers if I’m having a 5:30 wedding?
Will you take bouquets and boutonnieres to our hotel if we aren’t getting ready at the Golf Club?
How many weddings a day will you do?
Do you rent/provide linens?

What is the last date I can make any changes on my order (either increase or decrease the number of centerpieces)?
Do you preserve bridal bouquets?

Good job Dawn! Yes I took A LOT of pics...explain what I wanted and expected and also gave them a list of flowers I HATE/dislike...would never even consider using.
