Reception Venue - HELP!!

This may be more for those of you in the Youngstown area.My mom and I went out to Youngstown/Boardman today to check out a couple vendors and the St. James Meeting House in Boardman Park and the Blue Wolf Banquet Center. Well, the church was gorgeous! Totally cute and adorable. I love love LOVE it!! However, I don't love the banquet center. In fact, it made me cry. If we had been looking and saw the place before we signed the contract, I would not have picked this place. It's in a very tiny strip mall, the ceilings are so low and the place just looks dated. I know we might lose our deposit but I literally cried when my mom and I stopped for lunch. It just felt like a total let down after going to the church and seeing how absolutely adorable is.So, any ideas on where I can have my reception at? I still want to have the ceremony in Boardman park.

Three places come to mind....Das Dutch Village in Columbiana (about 20 minutes away), Mcmenamys, and Mr. Anthony's.Your church IS gorgeous.  The stained glass window is such a pretty backdrop.  hth

Oh and if you don't consider it too far away, KKleese had her reception at Buhl Country Club or something over that way and it looked nice and in Girard is the Mahoning Country Club and it is totally open to the public.Good Luck!

We our having our Wedding and Reception at the Links at firestone farms in Columbiana.  Their prices were very reasonable.  Also you can go to their Sunday brunch, its what made the decision for us!

We just picked B & O Station Square... it's different and unique and the best part is that we can bring our own food into the venue. It's worth looking into especially if you don't want a typical wedding.
