videography

I am trying to decide on a package with my videographer and the coverage is hourly. I know I want the ceremony and just the key stuff at the reception ...toasts, first dances, cake cutting, etc. But I have seen some wedding video samples that include the getting ready part. If you used/are going to use a videographer are you having them around for the pre-ceremony stuff/getting ready as well?

I did not.  I would ask for comments from guests during the reception though.  We told our videograoher we didn't want anything like that.  During the reception he asked if he could set up one of his camera's for people to leave us messages and I was busy having fun and said sure why not.  Well, boy am I glad he asked because those were probably the best part of having the video.  When we came home and watched that after our honeymoon they were just so much fun to watch!

I am having them there when we are getting ready but not at the salon or anything. This would be like finshing touches type of thing and moments before you walk down the aisle. We are also asking for comments from guest. We look forward to seeing those!
