I just saw your post. I only go on every so often, so I missed it the first time around.
How are you?? How's wedding planning going? I can't believe your day is almost here! Seems like just yesterday we were talking about how you had barely anything done, and now the wait's almost over!!! Do you have almost alll of your stuff done? What did you finally decide on colors?
How are things with your FI and the police dept? Still working him hard I'm sure.
Mine is still trying to get in to CHP. It's a reaaalllyy long process and the background investigators are taking their sweet time. He didn't pass the LAPD written test though.. So he has just been concentrating on CHP. It's not the end of the world thought if he doesn't get in the first time, he would try again.

Hi!  Great to hear back from you.  Yes, I finally picked a color.  Yellow!  It's kinda funny but I don't even like yellow!  I went and tried on BM dresses since I felt bad making one of my girls try a bunch on and I loved this "sunshine" color.  so random.

When did your FI take the LAPD test?  CHP would be good too but then he would have to go away for the academy and thats annoying.  Tell him to keep trying!  Getting hired on right now is hard in any department but everyone needs Police officers so its only a metter of time before they get a move on with the hiring. 

My FI is in a new division now and hes working his butt off.  It's a huge bummer that they just got rid of OT.  Now rather then getting paid OT he just gets paided time off. Ooh well!

How are your plans going?  Still shooting for May of 2011?  Have you picked a locaton and all of that good stuff yet?  Are you still doing lavender as your color?

I think yellow sounds like a cute color. That's cool that you tried it on to make sure it would look good.
FI failed the LAPD written test. He is still hoping for CHP. He is in the background process right now, so that could take a while.
It's good that they kept your FI on, especially after all the law enforcment lawoffs that I heard were going on. And who doesn't love paid time off?! lol.
Still shooting for a may 2011 wedding. Looking at The Odyssey, I think we are going to book it next month. *hopefully* Also meeting up with a few photogs as well. I am still trying to keep periwinkle as my color, but it's hard to find a bm dress in that color that actually looks good and not dull. I'm just going to wait and see what is out in a few months.
Are you done with all of your planning? Or do you still have a little more left?

Yeah, they actually didn't lay anyone off with LAPD, they just did some changes to cut costs.  thank goodness! 

I still have a lot of planning to do but with 79 days away i'd say I'm doing well.  I still need to write the ceremony though!  It sounds like a lot of work.

Castaways is very nice.  A lot of girl get married there and seem to be happy with it.  I've heard the view is great.  If I were you I'd go try on BM dresses like I did.  It really helped me to focus on the colors and cuts of the dress so that when I have the girls it was easier.

I have a really great photog with great prices.  Our e-pics were beautiful.  I'll let you see our pics if your interested in him.  What vendors have you alreay booked?  The time flys by!

I'm not going to make it to the GTG I don't think.  I have work that day and then my showers the following weekends so I can't really take the Saturday off.  Plus Maywood is soooo far for me.

Lets find a time to meet up thought!  We could grab coffee or even a tasty Wedding Cake Martini.  Im in Santa Clarita.  Where are you again? Talk to you soon!

I haven't booked anything yet. As soon as I book my venue I will start booking other vendors.
Santa Clarita isn't too far from me, so yeah anytime you want to grab cofee let me know. Oooo, wedding cake martini, I've never heard of that before! Let's go for sure.
