Fire Truck Wedding Transportation

My fiance' is a firefighter for Los Angeles City Fire Dept. I think it would be a cute touch if we could use a firetruck for both transportation and great photo opportunities. Our wedding and reception will take place a little too far away from the area that his fire dept. serves to utilize one of their trucks. Anyone know where I can rent a fire truck in the Southern California area, specifically in Ventura County?

You might just want to have your FI talk to his station about this and his chief might be able to get in touch with someone in a neighboring district. I think an actual firefighter will have the best luck getting through to someone. My parents and my brother's godparents were both able to get fire trucks for their weddings as my dad and my brother's godfather were both firefighters (and in fact both had firehall wedding receptions). However I think it was more of a department "favor" or some kind of policy. You may have to pay for the time the driver and other firefighters need to be on duty, but I'm not sure. Obviously, stations loan out trucks for things like parades, so it's entirely possible!
