Reception Venues

Ok, so my SIL just got engaged and I am trying to help her come up with some ideas for a reception venue so please list all that you can think of... West side of Cleveland as far west as Avon(ish), and as far south as Medina(ish).  Onsite catering a must, guest list of approx 150.  And..... go!

I second brennan's! That's where I'm having my reception. They have been very accomodating and Dina is so sweet. they provide catering and alcohol, or you can choose to provide your own alcohol if you want. You may also want to look into Wagner's in Westlake.

Michauds strongsvillest peters hellenic 2nd Wagners 100th Bomb group (right by the airport - friend had reception there in april - very nice!)

Wagner's is out... her sister had her reception there last year.  And 100th BG is out, my reception was there 2 months ago.  She doesn't want repeats.  Thanks for all of the tips so far!  For some reason, I can't think of too many places even though this should all be fresh since I just went through it!

We are thinking of having our's at Diamond Event Caterers and Center. We are actually trying their food tonight. They are located in Brunswick on Pearl Rd.

Belarusan American Community Center in Strongsville! That's where we had our reception. They only do one event at a time. It's not a wedding-mill like Michaud's. Better food, too, IMO (we considered both). Link to the Belarusan in my bio, as well as my review and some pics.Carrie Cerino's is nice, too. It's in N. Royalton.

Am sure Tara would agree with me - A Taste of Excellence caters for the historical society - I have a consult there August 5th with Bill, and can't wait to see what he has in store!  I've picked the Old Court House in Cleveland.  It's georgous!  Tara had her wedding these in June - and her bio is full of great info on them! Your SIL fall in love with it after she ses it!  Definately worth a nomination!  Good luck to her!  If you're looing in the N. Royalton / Broadview Hts area, talk to Pam @ Country Lakes Party Center - she's very accommodating    HTH!

Brennan's is excellent. This may sound awful, but I had my first wedding reception there and they were amazing. The food was really good, they were really nice & helpful and everyone had a really good time in general. Good luck!

We had our reception at the Irish Heritage Center in Avon Lake and just went to a reception there this past weekend.  Both times, everything was great!  Just as an FYI, they were never closed at all during the past year due to their mortgage difficulties, and Ahern Catering does a really great job of running everything. Other options are Avon Oaks Country Club, Lakewood Country Club (in Westlake), and The West Side Irish American Club in Olmsted Twp.

So I have no sense of direction so forgive me if this is too far off, but I HIGHLY recommend the Sheraton on Cleveland airport property.  It is lovely, the food is AMAZING, and the service is great!  We had our wedding and reception there and we've heard from multiple people during and after the reception that the food was awesome and it was the best run wedding they had ever been to!
