Dress Alterations

I'm looking for a trustworthy seamstress to do alterations on my gown.  I have received one outrageous quote of $1080!  and am looking for a more reasonable price.  Please let me know who you have or are using.  Thanks

I used (as did many other La Knotties) Reene with In Stitches.  She's in Woodland Hills and is very reasonable with prices.  She also made my veil for me.  You can find her info on Project Wedding.

I used Reene, too- and only paid around $100 for my alterations. I didn't need anything really serious done, but she was very honest, matter-of-fact, and efficient. She also told me my bra was all wrong and by getting a different type, I could save on alterations. Well worth it!

I also used Reene. I ended up paying more (like $480) because I had to have 3 layers of my dress hemmed and the horsehair reattached, a pick-up redone, a corset put in, steaming and pressing. Maybe something else, I can't remember. Anyway, my BMs also used her and they paid about $40/dress. She was great.
