Picking your Bridal Party

Hello My Fellow Knotties,

I am fairly new to the boards and wanted to get some advice since you all seem to help each other out.

I have two great women, very close friends of mine, that I am considering to be my Maid/Matron of Honor.  One is a good friend of mine since high school and we have remained great friends for the past 19 years.  Since she lives on the other side of the country we don' spend alot of time together except for catching up over the telephone.

My other friend is someone that I have only known a couple of years but we have grown extremely close and hang out all the time.  Above all, she is the best person that knows what my Fi and I have gone through and have been there for the both us.  She is the best person that knows us as acouple.

How do i choose between these two great women?  Please help!

You can have two maid/matron of honors.
That's what I'm doing.  If you have 2 best friends, are you supposed to pick who is the better best friend?  I didn't think so, so I have 2 and they are both great and everything has been good so far.

I totally agree - I have two best friends as well and asked them both to be my Maid / Matron of Honor.  They both were thrilled!

I would say choose them both. My best friend had the same situation and decided to have both of them as maid of honors. They basically both help out with planning everything and that way there's no hard feelings if you decide to go with one and not the other. Look at it this way....sometimes 2 is better than 1

I agree with pp.  Have them both!  I had 2- a Maid of Honor and a Matron of Honor, plus 3 bridesmaids.
