So ... the previous posters post triggered my memory - as to why I'm so excited about my ceremony music! A good friend of mine, who I tormeted in high school ( He was always 2nd chair & I was always first in the trumpet section in band class ) has agreed, based on his availability, to play trumpet for my ceremony! If there's one thing I wanted, it was to walk down the isle to a live musician playing trumpet voluntary. I found my old bandmate on facebook and he said he'll be more than happy to do it when I was talking to him lastnight! Not only that, but now FFIL has a more approriate role in the wedding, as he's played piano for 40+ years, and FI wanted to incorperate him in the reception with him playing dinner music or what not - but now I'm glad I can have him showcase his talent with the trumpeter. Anyway, my friends name is Joey Pero, and he's studied privately with Wynton Marsalis, and plays with Maynard Ferguson. If you'd like to check out his work (mainly jazz / pop / fusion) you can check it out @ joeypero. com. Enjoy!
