Garter Toss idea.. Cheesey or Funny?

I am not shy whatsoever. I'm loud, outgoing, and usually the wild one out of my friends. Basically I'm my mom. haha. With that said, I'm freaking out about the garter toss. The thought of the hubby to be going up my dress in front of my grandparents and his parents makes me blush just thinking about it. My BMs have tried to put me at ease and say that after a couple cocktails everyone is going to be egging us on anyway and not to be embarrassed, but I still am.

The other day we were looking for the song for the garter toss and came across Jimi Hendrix's Foxy Lady (which yes has been done a ton, but it's Hendrix, can that ever get old?) and the fiance started doing the Garth dance from Waynes world (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4PdXGpJw9o) and I was laughing so hard I was crying. He said that he would totally do the dance in the beginning of the song as he was walking up to me. Do you think this is cheesey or funny? Mind you my family is pretty crazy and not conservative whatsoever. I know he's willing to do anything to lighten the mood for me and I'm really leaning towards it.

    If your FI is willing to do that dance in front of everyone then I say go for it.

    It would definitely make the garter toss more fun and less awkward. Wink

    We didn't do a garter toss - you have the option to skip it, too. But if your FI really wants to do it and you want it to be fun, definitely ask him if he'd do the dance.

    I say do it! I want to do everything at the wedding! It sounds like fun, especially since it is tradition and  your family is crazy like mine!
