Knottie Brides Photoshoot!

Hey girls!

I was going through the knottie gtg's pictures and i saw these! So, I remembered how we once mentioned to do this! It would be so fun...we should work on completing this task! We gotta represent LA Knotties to the fullest! Of course we don't have to trash our dresses, but we can make fun pictures. Any takers??

    That would be awesome! I think the beginning of October would be good...before it starts to get really cold. What do you think?

    nikojamm- we would not trash our dresses...so we would have to think of a good location just to take fun and sexy pictures because I know most of us don't want to trash our dresses, but i'd be fun to wear them again :)

    I don't know if I still fit into my dress! Embarassed  I would have to try it on before I can say I'm in.

    aww Jagore! We're on the same boat...sad part is that I still have not done my TTD with our photographer...we keep pushing the date back...hopefully I still fit in it because we're doing the session on the 29th for sure this time. lol But anyway I hope you fit in it! :)

    Sorry ladies.  It cost $400 to get my wedding dress cleaned after it was altered.

    And another $700 to get it perserved with a lifetime warrantee.  While I still fit into my gown, the only lady I think worth spending another $700 to get it properly perserved is a daughter I will have someday.  No photoshot is worth undermining that.

    Had I not moved away so fast I would have participated.  I was simply glad to get the gown cleaned, preserved and in one piece(given all the stuff left over)--now it's safely tucked away in it's own box in a cedar chest in our master bedroom until 3 years from now when I have it refolded for free.

    I spent enough on my gown to respect the money I put in it with regards to original cost, alterations--the least I could do is to perserve it for the next generation in the event that they would want to use it. That means savouring my time in the gown and making sure it was proper after. My gown went into perservation 2 days after use, it is now in my cedar chest next to my bed after being fully perserved. 

    I feel happy that I can call my perserver and alter my gown to anyone who i want to wear it if need be.


    And given the time and effort spend into finding what I thought into findting the right gown, I am totally happy with it.

    Sounds like we have some takers on this fun photoshoot! What month are you ladies willing to do this?? I'm in for the beginning of October and on. Yay this is going to be so fun!

    quemiras- since Laura is a married gal and a knottie as well she might want to do this shoot with us...if so, do you know another photographer who is not on the pricey side who can shoot us?

    Yeah, I was thinking that Laura might wanna do it with us.  We'll have to see and then go from there.  (FYI, I was kidding with the I'm not jumpin' in... I knew we wouldn't be trashing them.  I just saw the pic with them doing it and thought it was cute.)

    Oh & Vans... I'm not sure where would be a good place.  We'll have to keep thinking on that one.  However, you're right... It will be so much fun to wear them again!!!

    And Tilliea:  this is just to see who may wanna do it... it's not a requirement and I'm glad you have your dress all taken care of.

    I have a friend who has started in photography if you ladies would like for me to ask her (if Laura wants in)...

    I can also ask my photog to see how much she would charge too...

    Let me know ladies...they are both two quick and simple phone calls.

    TysWife- That would be awesome...thanks for the help. I think we should get different quotes so we have many to choose from. I guess it would depend if Laura is in or not.


    And girl don't be sad...if this is a successful shoot/gtg I'm sure there will be another one next year! ;)

    The begining of October works for me - What about asking Jordana with Hazelnut Photography? She was a knottie some time ago and she's an AMAZING photographer. I'm sure she would give us knotties a bit of a discount if we asked nicely :) Here's her blog site: http://hazelnutphotography.com/blog/

    So sad that I won't be home during that time! I wish I could join . . . I would even consider bringing my dress out of perservation for this if I was going to be around :(. You ladies have a blast!

    Sorry ladies, haven;t been here in a while, but that looks like fun!  Let me know I might be intrested if I can keep the weight off for that long. I can't wait until the wedding to be able to cheat a little more than I already do! :P
