pimples and facials.. WTF?

I dont really take care of my face and I recently got off birthcontrol and it seems like I am going through puberty AGAIN! I have recently been getting pimples and want to nip this on the bud.
Last month I got a facial and loved it but am wondering if it will be helping. Is there something you ladies use that help with the pimples? Should I keep doing facials (Our wedding is in August so I would do it everymonth until then)?
I know my work isn't helping either bc I sometimes stress out at work and it kinda goes with what my position is.
Can you ladies HELP with any recs on what to use?  Frown

I started doing monthly facials in December for my March wedding.  I have one more today and I'll do another one about two weeks before.

(If it's really bad - get back on birth control!)

I think facials are a good idea. And, the fact that you have some time before your wedding is good. You have time to get this under control. As important as the facials are,  so are the products that you are using on a daily basis to cleanse your skin. So, I would definitely look at that as well.

as an esthetician I agree with phiaska . if it worsens after a facial, that is normal one in every 4 times. i.e. 25% of facials end in a breakout due to stimulation of the sebaceous glands, which is a good thing. I would definately get facials every month, and if you still have acne or uncontrolled breakouts go back on Birth Control 6 weeks before your wedding. That way you will have a full cycle, and get married right in the middle of ovulation...a good idea if you are lookin to get pregnant, also great time as far as: no bloating in this week, usually glowing skin and hair, no acne. Just a sugg. IMHO.

I use proactive and I love it. Some disagree but I like the results. Good luck! If you have insurance, a dermatologist might be able to suggest some good cleansers and such.
