What is/was your something blue?

Not sure what I am doing yet. Would love to hear some unique ideas. :)

    My garter was blue
it was a wizard of oz one from etsy.
I also attached blue rhinestones to the bottom of my shoes with "I do" on one foot, and the date of our wedding on the other.

I am doing a small blue ribbon with a sky-blue jeweled brooch on my bouquet.  I have to thank Amy from Bride and Bloom Flowers for suggesting it.  Before I had decied on that, I was thinking about a garter, as suggested above.  I also was considering blue shoes (but they would show too much and will clash).

This was my original something blue from the gartermaker.com.  It was put on the front of my skirt at the bottom under the crinny so it was easy to take a picture of it.

But then DH gave me an aquamarine bracelet as something blue the day of the wedding so I count both of them as my something blue.

the garter had blue in it, and Reene made my veil which had a tiny blue flower on the comb.  Oh, and my eyes.  They're blue.  Does that count?

Well, this isn't so much a suggestion as a ridiculous story!

I didn't really plan out the something blue.   I had the other stuff covered and thought that I would figure it out by wedding time .  Well, come morning of wedding (at the hotel) and nope - no somethin blue so I found a pair of my undies that had blue on them (blue stars in fact Ha ha ha) and wore those.  It's silly I know, but at least I had all of the somethin's  covered!  So, I do have a suggestion:  make sure you figure it out before the wedding!!!  GL!  :)

nikojamm - that is funny. That is kind of where I am at. I had some of them of covered and then I stopped thinking about it. Now, 9 days before the wedding - I am stressing over something blue. :)

I will figure something out. Thanks for all your responses so far.

I sowed my grandma's (R.I.P.) Virgin Mary's blue charm in the inside of my dress...here's a picture of it.

My something blue is a long story.  In a nutshell my FI when he was 5 he bought one of those really cheap adjustable rings with a sapphire in it for his mom.  He took it home and said that he bought her a ring because he wanted to marry her.  After she explained that she was already married to his dad they decided that she would save it for when he found a girl that he really wanted to marry and he could give it to her.  Well for Christmas his mother gave me the ring with the story printed up for me, I was so touched that she actually kept the ring 23 years.  FI of course doesn't remember any of this but I love the story so I am making it my something blue.  Also another kink to the story my birth stone happens to be sapphire so it's almost like it was meant to be. Smile.

If you need a something blue a lot of the girls on my month board are doing blue underwear, that is what I was going to do before I got the ring.  GL!

Thanks Vans!!! I love the story too, I cried once I figured out that the story I was reading was about FI.  He is such a dork he was like I probably forgot about the ring like 5 minutes after that when I went outside to play.  Oh well.

Thanks ladies. We don't really have traditions in either of our families so I'm hoping to maybe keep this one alive.

My wedding colors are white and Tiffany blue. Sooo my toes will be the Tiffany blue! I wanted blue shoes for a splash of color but wondered if I would look back and wonder what I was thinking. But, blue toes peaking out from under my satin, ivory dress = perfect!
