Please Help me find the PERFECT (affordable) wedding location

Hey guys-this is my first post so i might be a lil lame when it comes to the blog basics but i really need some help!

I got enagaged 2 months ago and am STILL looking for the perfect venue for our wedding ceremony/reception in the OC/LA area.

I would love an outdoor ceremony with an indoor reception. I really LOVE spanish style venues, and anything garden/forrest like.

I've seen a lot of nice places (Rancho las Lomas, La Venta Inn, etc)-but all WAY too expensive.

Can anyone offer any addition recomendations?

We are currently looking at :
Turnip Rose
Casa Romantica
Hotel Maya
Muckenthaler Mansion

THANKS SO MUCH LADIES!!

You should consider the Padua Hills Theatre in Claremont.  It's where I got married and people raved about the venue (and the food - they do the catering).  The ceremony was outside in a 100-year old olive tree grove and the reception was inside the Theatre, which was built in the 1920s in the Spanish Moorish style.
I don't know what your price range is, but I thought it was reasonable. HTH!

Oh, I love the Hotel Maya!...more modern Mayan/Aztec than Spanish.  If I recall you already looked into my venue which is the Ebel Club in Long Beach, which is Spanish but not outdoors.  Did you look at the Redondo Library???

    Thanks for the help ladies.

I looked at Padua online and it was BEAUTIFUL-but over 20,000$ based on the quote i got.

Haven't looked at the Ebell club yet in person, but it looks pretty online-but i do really like the outdoor ceremony, so that's why i haven't checked into it yet-but maybe I should.

I really loved Casa Romantica and Rancho las lomas (lomas was too expensive for us but we MAY be able to work out the Casa)

We would like to keep the cost of the ceremony/reception (including food, alcohol, rentals, staff, etc) under 16,000. We've already up'ed our budget from 13, to 15...but we can't find ANYTHING that fits. So cal is RIDICULOUSLY expensive-it's quite frustrating.

I keep searching and searching online in hopes to find a hidden gem-but no real luck yet.

I appreciate all the help ladies <3

I just went to a reception at Turnip Rose. The outside is gorgeous! Perfect for pictures. Food was pretty good, too.

I'm having mine at LA River Center & Gardens and its exactly what you described. Gardens, spanish tile and arches, wrough iron everywhere, a gorgeous bell tower. And the best part is that it's reasonably priced. Give it a look
