Anyone have any bra/undergarment advice?

I'm starting to shop for longline bras and I'm not sure where to look.  Has anyone ordered online?  What was your experience?
I'm going to give Macys a shot but wanted some opinions before I head out.
Do I have to get a seamless bra?  And I noticed a lot of them are only 3/4 length, does that show through or create a dent?

I have a strapless gown, not too low in the back but I'm around a 34dd, so I do need the extra support.

Thanks!

I've heard the BEST thing to do is have cups sewn in.

Other than that... I just bought a long line bra at Alfred Angelo.

Yep, have cups sewn in. Mine only cost $20 to be put in, if I remember correctly, and that's way less than a good bra costs.

I am having the same issue..need to find an undergarment solution.

Does the cups sewn in thing work for a D-cup? It makes me a little nervous, because I need a lot of support. I'm just always used to having to wear a bra even if a shirt has a "built in bra"- that is never enough. Has anyone with a large chest done that?

Otherwise I was just going to check out somewhere like Davids Bridal- they seem to have several options for long-line bras online.

I looked at Macy's (in-store), but all of their long-line bras were more "control" or support tops to slim the tummy, too. I don't want something like that. My dress is A-line so I don't need a spanx-type thing, and I want to be comfortable!

Yeah that's what I'm worried about too.  I found a good one at macy's, great support, but it's not seamless so I don't know if it will show through.  I've had a couple people mention Frederick's of Hollywood.

    This is the macy's bra:

From what I heard, if you are larger than a C, the cups being sewn in is not going to be the best way to go.

I didn't get a long-line bra, but I did get a bra at Nordstrom's. They were so helpful.

    Good luck! :)

Not sure. I'm a D-cup, so I'll see what my seamstress says, but if your dress fits properly, nothing should be shifting, you know?

If you buy a bra, make sure you try it on again soon before the wedding.  I lost some weight and my bra ended up being way too big for me on my wedding day!
