Champagne/Sparkling Wine???

Hi Ladies – I need some help.  We decided to change our favors and are going to give out miniature Champagne bottles to everyone.  I’m not a Champagne drinker so I don’t know which brand it better.  Which brand is better J. Roget or Cooks– I’m actually trying to get the spumante one since I have been told spumante is sweeter. By better I mean taste and also class – for example is Cooks or J. Roget the cheapest thing???  I don’t want to declassify my wedding or have it become tacky by giving out the cheapest champagne – I hope this is making sense. TIA

Yea before we were going to do the customized mini Hersey bars, like knottie thecheshirekat -

but due to cost and having to cut back some we decided to do the champagne - hoping for it to look something like this on the table.

Cooks is kinda gross--sorry to say.  Chandon in the pic is pretty tasty and I don't know the other one you put in your post.  My favorite reasonably priced is Korbel.

The pic of the champagne is cute. But isn't that going to cost more than buying mini chocolates?  We bought a few mini bottles as part of our xmas gift baskets and at Cost Plus they ranged from 4-6 bucks each depending on the brand. We bought the http://www.freixenetusa.com/ mini ones. That is a really delish brand!

I called the distributor I was working with and he advised to go with the J. Roget over Cooks too.  The one in the picture that Genie found was really expensive.  I could get the J. Roget for about 2.00 a bottle.  Another problem I was having was the shipping.  I guess because it is glass it is heavier and to ship 200 bottles it was about 600.00 for shipping alone - plus the 400.00 for the champagne.  So I found 2 local places that would order in bulk the quantity I wanted and I wouldn't have to pay shipping as long as I picked up from their store.  One store could get me the Cooks and the other could get me the J. Roget.
As far as the chocolates - since I would have to get enough for 200 people I would have to order about 3000 pieces of candy - each person getting about 15 pieces plus I would have to order 3000 labels to wrap each piece and it was going to cost about .10 cents each label which is $300.00 for labels alone.
csun - the ones you got were great but I can't aford that for the amount I need - I wish!

Have you checked Bevmo?  I know that they have mini bottles of wine, because we almost gave out pink wine as a favor.  I think they would have been around $1.25 each since they come in 4 packs.  They also sell them at the market.
