Hair & Makeup in Santa Barbara that doesn't break the bank!

Hi Everyone,

I guess I shouldn't be shocked by now when it comes to wedding pricing, but I still am. I feel like we're just bleeding money as we go. I'm looking for someone (or a crew) who could do myself, 4 maids, and 2 moms and not break the bank. I'm okay to spend a little more on myself-it's my day after all, but it's not fair to ask my maids (some of who are coming from the mid-west) to spend $75 to get their hair done! That's almost as much as their dress! Does anyone have any recommendations? I am having a Sunday wedding in August.

Hmm...the only Salons I really know for bridal hair are Walter Claudio and Mishay.  I know your maids could get a fairly inexpensive blow dry (like $25-$40) at WC, but up-dos are going to be like $75-$110.   I'm not as familiar with the pricing at Mishay, but I do know that the owner, Andrea, does fabulous up-dos.  

I'm getting my hair done at Bliss Salon because the woman who has been doing it forever just moved there.  Their prices seem pretty reasonable, but the only person I know there is Mimi (who ROCKS btw). At any rate, I would just start calling around.
