LA Budget Caterer recs, especially "ethnic" food

Sooo... hi! We are planning a wedding for 100 in LA and are looking for caterers. Ideally, something different from the standard beef/chicken/blah. We love Vietnamese food so inquired at the Good Girl Dinette, but would love any other recommendations. Even someone who could do elements of different ethnic foods we like (Vietnamese/Mexican/Greek/Chinese/etc). We are on a pretty serious budget, ideally under $40 including servers. Is that crazy? Thanks!

Wait, $40 total or per person?  If it's for per person then you should call up local restaurants.  Here in LA, many companies are used to catering.

I've worked with Open Sesame - not sure if you like Middle Eastern food but they're fantastic and cheap.

How much is it roughly per person to cater from open sesame? I'm talking about their beef kabobs, rice, hummus...the full works. I love the LB restaurant...food is delicious. Do they cook it in advance or do they cook it at the venue?
