Ohio State toasting flutes...

Anybody see them anywhere??? Getting married on game day (ooops) and trying to do a little something for FI to soften the scheduling error blow.

Aww, that's cute!  I am also trying to find something to do to include the Buckeyes in our special day, cause they are everywhere else ;).  I've been to a wedding where they had Brutus at the reception.  It was great and the groom loved it, not sure about how to set it up though.

Though we are a summer wedding.. we are total OSU fans... so My DJ gave us a great idea... we are going to have the guys go out for the garter toss w/ that OSU song talking about mich... or hang on sloopy or something... then I found this great idea I had saved on my computer for a DIY OSU garter... this came from a knottie i think... the picture wouldn't copy, but i can eml if you want... below is what i had saved for instructions.. it came from someone named "thecheshirekat" I think bcs the corner of the pic says that.. of course you can make any size you want...  good luck! and go Buckeyes!  I made this garter from scratch using ribbon, lace, 1" wide elastic, and an Ohio State charm from Ebay.  Here's the steps (sorry, I didn't take pictures!):1.  I measured everything so it went around my leg almost twice (to leave space for gathering).2.  I took one length of the 1.5" wide red satin ribbon and sewed the 5/8" gray satin ribbon on top of it to make a stripe.3.  I sewed the lace inside two layers of the red satin ribbon (the one with the stripe, and another layer on the inside without a gray stripe).  The lace was already gathered a little, so I just sewed it straight and made sure there was a pocket between the layers of ribbon for the elastic.4.  I threaded the 1" wide elastic through the pocket, measured and stitched it into a band, then sewed the pocket shut around it.5.  I looped up a bunch of think red and silver ribbon and tacked it down with a couple of stitches.6.  I sewed the charm down in the middle of the thin looped ribbon on the front.  Done!

We got married on game day too, but not a major game. We did buckeye candies for our favors! Anyways, there is a store in Hudson called Uniquely Ohio that carries those from time to time. Cute store http://www.uniquelyohio.com/

If you can't find the OSU toasting flutes, you could decorate a plain pair of flutes. Make what would essentially be 'wine charms' if you can find an OSU charm. Attach to a piece of wire and decorate w/ gray/scarlet beads alongside the charm. To differentiate the glasses, one could have, say, gray-gray-scarlet-gray-gray, etc. bead pattern and the other could have scarlet-scarlet-gray-scarlet-scarlet, etc. That way they wouldn't be completely identical.
