Honeymoon Help

We think we have the trip narrowed down to Mexico. We are thinking Riveria Maya, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel area all-inclusive. Does anyone have suggestions for a certain resort in one of these areas or a good travel agent around the Medina area? Thanks!!!

My best friend and her husband when the Riviera Maya. They stayed at a Barcelo resort. It was an all-inclusive. Don't know which. But they loved it!

Well, we haven't gone yet, but we are going to Puerto Vallarta and staying at an All-Inclusive for our honeymoon next month. Ever since we booked the trip, every person we talk to is like, "oh, it is so gorgeous, you'll love it." So we're pretty excited. Given we live in LA, and PV is on the west coast, its a pretty popular travel destination for Cali people. It seems like a touristy place, that has still retained it's traditional feel- the anti Cancun if you will. :) HTH!

We have used Apple vacations and FunJet for booking 3 seperate trips to Riviera Maya and are officially hooked on the area.  I would suggest staying mainland vs. Cozumel and take a trip over for 1 day but no matter what - the area is amazing.  I would recommend any of the three resorts we stayed in - and it really depends on what you like or are going for...but here you go.  Grand Palladium - Any of the resorts (4 in 1) Grand Bahia Pricipe - Any of them (4 in 1) Dreams Puerto Adventuras - this one was in a great location - small little town that was great to go out freely and do shopping/dolphins, etc.  but this was a smaller resort (but gorgeous) compared to other 2 we stayed at.  If interested  in additional info/photos of the 3 - email me at angela.wish@gmail.com HTH!~

You can't go wrong with any of the Iberostar resorts. We stayed at Iberostar Paraiso Lindo in the Riviera Maya and loved it. We also booked an Apple package thru our agent -- Pleasant Valley Travel in Parma. Apple is one of the best.

We stayed at the Valentin Imperial Maya for our Nov 08 HM and loved this resort.  It's adults only, the food was really good, and the drinks were even better!  The resort is about 1.5 years old and the staff were very friendly.  Friends of ours stayed there in April and also had a really great experience.   We used Berman Travel (based in NJ) because one of their agents had stayed at the resort 3 times during it's first 6 months of operation; she was very helpful and even sent us her own personal pictures of the resort (contact info in married bio).  HTH
