My fiance and I have such small families. There are probably about 6 people in his family and 6 in mine. Between families and and friends we will be lucky to find 90 people to invite to our wedding and that is PUSHING it. With people who decline, we will probably end up having 75 realisically.
I am kind of disappointed that I can't have a large wedding. I associate large weddings with being classic, traditional and formal. That's what I wanted.
Now, working with our small numbers my fiance says his biggest nightmare would be if our reception hall looked empty. He wants to book somewhere small. I am the opposite. I'd like to book a grand venue, and I don't care it there's space.
Does anyone have any recommendations as to how we could make it look more grand and formal without having a lot of guests and empty space? What type of venue would be best? (ex. a hall, a golf course, a hotel, etc)
Thanks!
