i had made plans a while back that i wanted to go to vegas during my birthday week, since a girl friend of mine was in town there for a wedding. i had not seen her for almost 4 years. my guy told me he would take me as my birthday present. we made plans to go june 8 to june 9. we met up with my friends when we got into town (we only live about 4 hours from vegas, while my friend and her husband live in VA). they had plans that evening to go to show, so while they went to see a show we went out to dinner at the venetian hotel. had a delicious italian meal followed by some italian gelato. my guy then surprised me with a romantic gondola ride through the canals inside the venetian hotel. we were in mid ride when he asked me to marry him. of course i said yes. i was completely shocked and surprised. i knew a proposal was sometime in the near future but was not expecting him to be romantic about it at all. he definitely blew me away. afterward we met back up with my friends and they too were surprise and elated for us! so nice to have my friends there to celebrate with us! we have already set our wedding date. september 4. 2011. we have just about 3 months to get it all together!
we picked the 4th cause both of our birthdays fall on a 4th and we met on a 4th as well!
