Just got engaged October 16th!!! My FI took be to DC as a post-birthday present an we went to the wax museum, spy museum, aquarium, and the new Martin Luther King Memorial!! It was such a fun day. Then at night, he took me to Esperanza Spalding's concert (who is my absolute favorite) as a birthday present and then afterward took me to the foot of the stage, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him! He put the ring in a Pokemon ball which completely shows how nerdy and quirky we are. My e-ring is about one carat pink sapphire with .30 diamonds surrounding it, much like the look of a sunflower which is my favorite! The ring is exactly what I wanted and I couldn't ask for a better FI!!! I love him more than words can express. He is my best friend, and my lover, and through his unconditional love, he has showed me how to love myself again. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life loving him back.
