Hi all - My bf of 19 mos proposed last Sunday! He showed up at my door with a ring box in hand. I totally looked a mess - in my pjs, hair messy, hadn't washed face - and there he was. LOL Totally unexpected - he'd been unsure he was willing to parent again (he has two grown college kids) and I'm adopting a newborn girl and was on the waiting list when I met him. So he'd been waffling and I'd let him know that it was decision time. I thought he was still waffling, so things were getting rocky. But then there he was at my door! I let him in and we talked - he told me he was on board with parenting again and that he didn't want to be without me. Then he proposed and I said yes!
I got cleaned up and we went and had the ring sized and while waiting sat outside at a cafe, drank sangria and had lunch and whiled away the afternoon. Later we went home and called my mom, dad and sis. It was a great day. The ring is beautiful, very vintage, which is my taste.
