Show off your rings!

Okay, those non-conflict diamonds are really great and all, but what's your point?  To make yourself sound like a good person for having them?  No offense meant, it's just sort of pointless to post about them to a board full of girls who already have diamonds.

Please don't be so defensive. My point was just trying to raise awareness......I'm no better than anyone else. It's a real issue going on. And if you don't have a conflict free diamond it doesn't make you a bad person. But it also doesn't mean you can't raise awareness yourself or be more selective the next time you look at purchasing precious jewels.

Congrats ladies! Everyone's rings are so beautiful! I actually got engaged in January of this year and am planning on getting married July 16,2010! I love that you (ElberethArcamen) created this post, because this is exactly what the KNOT needed!! A place where all of us could show off our beautiful rings! I am so sad to say, but I only have one picture of my ring right now and it is not a very good one because it is dirty, but you can at least see it! I still think it is beautiful! I hope this works! at Ferdy2584:Thank you for saying that!! I don't know why everyone is being so defensive, it doesn't hurt to educate themselves! And you obviously aren't blaming any of them for not having conflict free diamonds. That said, a lot of these newly-engaged girls probably do have a conflict-free diamond and don't even know it. My FI informed me that when he went to pick out a diamond, he asked about conflict free and every jeweler he talked to said that there was a recent law passed (I don't know the specifics) regarding where diamonds are purchased etc... that makes it so a lot of diamonds are now conflict free. So that is good news! I have been engaged since Auguest 2008 and am getting married this August but I guess I will share my ring too! It is off of Mark Schnieder's website:http://tinyurl.com/yc6nls5

I just asked my fiance, and the Jared website says they only use conflict-free diamonds. Yay!

Pretty rings! My fiance proposed on October 31st(a favorite holiday of mine ) I LOVE my ring it's so gorgeous! He got it at Jareds it's 18 k white gold with milgrain edging, channel set rounds along the sides, emerald cut diamonds along the band, two pear shaped diamonds and a little heart shaped box framing a kite set SAPPHIRE! :)Blue is my favorite color. It sounds like a lot but I had a hard time pronouncing what cut diamond I wanted and the setting had the perfect mix of what I liked. To me it's so beautiful!
