We've been planning on getting married after dating for about a month. We actually have the entire wedding planned, I just didn't have my ring and he hadn't "officially" asked me. He's been telling me since we started planning the wedding that he'll ask me in November. He'd been telling me for the past two weeks that he wanted to carve pumpkins. On October 29th he ran some errands and bought some pumpkins. He sent me off to Hobby Lobby (the happiest place on earth) to get ideas for centerpieces. I came home and he had already started the pumpkins. As I was taking the top off of my pumpkin I asked him if he had already gutted them, he said "No." Inside was a box and a napkin. I said, "What the crap?!" For a split second I thought it was some kind of carving kit. When I took it out I realized what it was. I started crying. When he asked me to be his girlfriend we were at a bar. He wrote on a napkin "Joan, Will you be my girlfriend?" with the "Yes" "No" check boxes. I have that note framed on the wall. He did this so I can frame them together. Anyway, I put the ring on, said yes, then told him I didn't want to carve pumpkins anymore because it would get my ring messy and I wasn't going to be taking it off. He said, "Good. I didn't want to carve pumpkins anyway."
