So, I'm not sure if you all remember me...I got engaged on December 22nd! A beautiful white gold ring with a gorgeous diamond....I was in LOVE! After wearing my ring for a short period of time, I realized sadly that I was very allergic to the nickel used to make white gold. Soooo, I went to see my jeweler and he made me a new band with palladium mixed into the gold. He reassured me that it's hypo-allergenic, and that I would be fine with it.
I asked if we could melt the original band to make my fiance's wedding band, but he sadly told me that white gold can only really be melted one time....The second time it gets bubbly or something...I don't know he got all technical on me. When I told my fiance, he was kid of disappointed....but we decided we'd hang onto it, and if we ever have a baby girl we'd give her the ring with her birth stone in a different setting for her 16th birthday!
I just got my palladium ring today, and I'm SOOO happy to be wearing it again!!
