Local Jeweler goes the extra 1686 miles for an engagement proposal.
We had a due date to hit and it took a plane ticket to get it done. In order to get the engagement ring to our client in time for the proposal we had to personally fly it to him to make the delivery.
Our 65 year old family business is in the heart of Boulder. This client Phoenix, Arizona was so happy with our service in the past that when he needed an engagement ring, he chose us to provide this exclusive designer ring instead of going to a local dealer in Phoenix. We knew that the timing was going to be tight but with the designer (who is in Paris, France) agreeing that we could get everything done in time, we took on the job.
The ring needed to be in our client’s hands on Saturday Sept 29th. His soon to be fiancé was leaving on Sunday for an extended length of time. So everything was planned for Saturday night. The ring was still in Paris on Thursday when we got the call that there was a delay and it wasn’t going to be shipped out until the following day (serious panic!). We still needed to set the diamond before getting it to our client. So, instead of simply calling our client and telling him the ring was not going to make it. We decided to buy a plane ticket and make the delivery in person. The ring was still in France on Friday night and arrived at 10:30am on Saturday morning via Fedex (the Fedex driver got a round of applause as he entered the store). The diamond was set in 30 minutes and the owner was on a flight to Phoenix at 1:30pm.
The ring was delivered and the proposal was a success.
This is certainly a first for us but we will be telling this story for a long time.
