Joint Engagement Party

We are having a joint engagement party next month with a couple that are really good friends of ours. The reason we are having a joint engagement party is because they got engaged two weeks before we did. With that being said, do we buy them a gift? Do we buy the couple that are throwing the shower for us a thank you gift as well?

    No, we are not throwing our own shower. That is why we are asking if we buy the hosting couple a thank you gift for throwing the shower. Neither engaged couple are throwing our own shower. F and I have never been to an e=ngagement party so we are unsure about the etiguette. Since this is a celebration for both couples as well as our families and friends, we arent sure if gifts are traditionall given to the couples or if this is just a what ever you would like to do kind of situation.

    Yes, thats what this is. Im not sure why I put shower in PP. We are discussing an engagement party.
