Just got engaged May 24th while on a cruise. It was so unexpected, I didn't know he had been planning out that moment for months. He even called my mom to ask her permission. It was just beautiful.
Now for the planning. I don't know where to begin. At least I have my date set. As far as anything else....Undecided. LOL!

    congrats my fi and i just got back sat from our cruise. happy planning u should start w a budget then a guest list to fit in that budget... venues w food and drinks take up a majiority of budgets unfortunately. gl.. whats your date btw?

    Congrats to you too!! My date is July 27,2013. I never realized how over whelming this could be. I haven't even found a venue yet, which I hear is something I need to figure out fast because they fill up so quick. My budget isn't that big, but I figure if I start early it won't be as stressful. Good luck to you as well with your planning.

    I got engaged on my cruise may 21! We were in Cozumel and were scuba diving and he did it underwater! He too said he has been planning this for five months! The only thing is he didn't tell anyone but his parents (all of my stones are heirlooms so they had to get involved) It was a complete surprise for EVERYONE and it was absolutley perfect! We plan on having a long engagement. Any advice... I am also lost about all of this!
