Do you get your marriage license in the county you live in or the county you are getting married in?

I live in Virginia and we're getting married in Cuyahoga county, so we had to get a license in Cuyahoga.  We got ours on Friday and the process was very simple.  Just need a photo id, $40 cash, and know your soc. sec. #

The county you or FI live in, if you are both Ohio residents. If neither of you is an Ohio resident, get it in the county where you will be married. Both of you must be there to get the license. Cash only.
