Rehearsal Dinners

Hi,I am currently researching places to have our rehearsal dinner.  We live in Lakewood and that is also where the rehearsal ceremony will be.  I am looking for someplace original (not a chain) that would have a private room and the meals should range between $12 - $20 per plate (if salad and desert is included that would be even better).  Does anyone know of a place like this in the West Cleveland/Downtown area?Thank you!Amanda and Justin

I've been wondering the same thing! We're in Lakewood as well and getting married at St Luke's. We were thinking Maria's on Detroit.

Stancato's mentioned above is in Parma, not an easy drive from Lakewood, but if Parma would be ok, others in your price bracket include Antonio's (Parma), Santo's (Middleburg Hts.) and Carrie Cerino's (N. Royalton). While Antonio's doesn't have a private room per se, they give you a portion of their secondary dining room. Our RD was there and it worked out well. Great food! Antonio's includes salad, bread and dessert plus you choose 3 entrees for around $15, IIRC.In Lakewood, Winking Lizard has a private room and inexpensive food. It's a chain, but not a national one, at least.

How many people are you looking to feed?  I held a baby shower in the evening at Lucky's cafe in Tremont.  It isn't typically open for dinner but the food was amazing and VERY reasonable.  I think it would hole 20-25.  Southside is another option with great food.  Not sure about the private room.  Chophouse downtown has a private room and would be about $25-30/person with salad and desert.  Rock bottom brewery in the flats is a little cheaper.  We've held dinners for work at Waterstreet grill.  They block off the back of the restaurant, let us pick 5 entrees to have on the menu.  Guests order what they want and you only pay for what people eat.  So for example, if someone orders a burger it is $9, someone orders steak, it is more.  I think they would work with you on this.  We looked on E. 4th street since we're getting married at the Hyatt.  Zocalo had some options for around $20-25/person.   Everywhere else was closer to $30 but includes salad, desert, etc.  You could also consider somewhere in Rocky River.  They have a lot of unique places.  Maybe look at the wine bar or Rocky River brewing company?

We are having ours at Sweetwater Landing down in the Metroparks.  I had my shower there and the food was great!  You get alot for your money and they have a bunch of choices for dinners.

Maria's in Lakewood is super yummy but I can't remember if they have a private room.  I also second The Harp!  It's a very fun place. We were going to use the Great Lakes Brewing Co. for ours until we went over budget.  We love it there. :)

I was just going to recommend The Harp in Ohio city. I just had mine there and it was perfect. We picked about 10 items off the menu and all the meals were under $13. We had about 30-35 people and that amount is perfect for the upper platform of the restaurant. I brought in a cake for dessert and they cut it for a small fee. Everyone loved it. Mine was a Thursday so not a lot of people in the restaurant which was nice. I think Fridays they have music a little later though. They were great to work with.Maria's DOES have a private party room because I had my graduation party there.

Porcelli's!  Downtown location, private room, price is right!  Check it out!
