BF purchased my dream ring (it is being custom made and will be ready in 3 weeks!!), but he hasn't proposed yet. Our anniversary is in about a month, so I'm thinking he is going to propose on our anniversary or at my graduation a few days later. I'm just trying to get prepared for all of the questions that come immediately after we are engaged.
We have decided that we want to get married on our anniversary, but I'm not sure what year. We know that we want to elope or have a small destination wedding with only our immediate family (8 guests). I'm not sure how much my mom will be willing to help financially, and this could be the difference between doing it in 2013 or 2014. I really want to get married in 2013, but if we have to pay for everything, we will need that extra year to save.
What is the proper way to respond when people ask when we are planning to have the wedding?
Is it rude for me to tell them the date if they won't be invited?
How do I respond to friends that say they expect to be invited?
Is there a tactful way to ask my mom how much of it she is going to pay for?
